Welcome to Pulmonary Disease Specialists, P.A.

Our Mission is to provide residents of Central Florida with access to state-of-the-art care in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine; utilizing new technology and keeping current with trends in health care. We strive to improve the overall wellness and the quality of life of our patients by focusing on healthy lifestyles, encouraging self-management of chronic diseases and providing timely assessment and therapy for acute illnesses.

ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

For more than 30 years, Pulmonary Disease Specialists, PA has earned the confidence and trust of patients and their referring physicians in several counties throughout Central Florida. Our providers are currently participating in critical care programs at Florida Hospital Kissimmee and Osceola Regional Medical Center. Our physicians are proud to be a part of the critical care programs as they collaborate with other providers in the community.

In 2000, our practice opened Central Florida Sleep Centers in Kissimmee and Davenport Florida. Our sleep center is unique in its interdisciplinary approach to treating sleep disorders. Our facilities are state of the art and nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Click on the Sleep Disorders tab to learn more.

In 2008, Pulmonary Disease Specialists PA, began a Clinical Trials Division; PDS Research. Our physicians are striving to advance care through clinical research and contribute to the development of novel treatment options for patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders.   • As a patient of the Pulmonary Disease Specialist which the Sleep Center is affiliated, my Mom had to go through a routine sleep test since it had been many years since her original test. As we both suffer from Sleep Apnea these sleep tests are far from uncommon.


    Upon arriving we were directed to park in front and then ring the door bell no more than 5 minutes prior to the appointment time. The nurse came to the door and verified her identity before allowing entry. Once inside she was checked in, she was taken back to her room. Everything was laid out to get her hooked up to the machines. The technician explained everything in detail as to what was going to happen. From there she was asked to change into her sleep clothes. From their she had the sensors attached to her legs, side, chest and on her head. She then had the cpap gear explained to her and she chose the one she would wear for the test. She also learned how her heart, breathing and sleep pattern would be monitored for the night.


    She didn't sleep well, but it's hard when you are hooked up to different machines and the room isn't completely dark but Beverly was the best tech she has ever had.
